From Community to Enterprise, Missing the Middle
After launching our enterprise self-host license last year, we started seeing a very clear pattern.
Large enterprises adopted Documenso on their own infrastructure for high volume signing, deep integration, and long term ownership. At the same time, usage of our free community edition exploded. More teams began running Documenso in real production setups and asking the same question.
How do we use this without limits and without being on our own?
The gap was real. Community was powerful but unsupported. Enterprise was more than many teams needed. So we built a product for what was actually happening.

Business Edition is a mid-tier self-host license that includes the full enterprise feature set, paired with a fair and realistic support model. It is designed for teams who want to run Documenso in production with confidence, without buying into a full enterprise engagement.
Serious Production Use without Enterprise Overhead
This license gives you unrestricted access to all current and future enterprise features. You run Documenso on your own infrastructure and retain full control over data, workflows, and compliance. There is no per signature pricing and no artificial limits that slow you down.
Support for the Business Edition is application-focused. We help with bugs, issues, and small improvements that unblock real workflows. We do not manage infrastructure or act as your ops team. That boundary is deliberate. Well run self hosted setups are stable, and keeping infrastructure ownership with you preserves the compliance benefits that self hosting is meant to deliver.
Support that Matches Reality
Fair support means you are not left alone when something critical blocks your operations. It also means we do not pretend to offer unlimited white glove resources at this tier. Learn more about our fair use policy at documen.so/fair. Based on real-world usage, this level of support is more than enough for the teams that Business Edition is built for.
If you need formal SLAs, roadmap priority for larger features, custom certificates, or bespoke licensing terms, the Enterprise Edition remains the right option. Business Edition is not a downgrade. It is a different contract that matches a different stage.
Ready for Production
To support long-term stability, we offer multi-year Business Edition licenses, ensuring predictable cost and continuity.
If you are running Documenso internally or powering it inside your platform and want unlimited use with confidence and support, Business Edition is built for you.
If you have been on the fence about running Documenso in production on your own infrastructure, now is the time. See the Business Edition at https://documenso.com/self-hosted
